Group Leader for Security Staff's Work with Qualified Security Support
The Fortifications Agency is looking for a group leader for the security staff's work with qualified security support. Do you want to work at the heart of Sweden's total defense – where technology, security, and societal missions meet? The Fortifications Agency is one of Sweden's largest property owners and develops and manages robust defense properties for peace, crisis, and war. We work with advanced technology in critical buildings and bunkers, at airfields and naval bases.
Be Part of Building Sweden's Defense
In a troubled world, we have a clear focus: to build Sweden's defense capability from the ground up. We build, develop, and provide defense properties and fortifications that enable actors in Sweden's total defense to operate from a safe place. The uncertain global situation means that the Fortifications Agency is growing and that we have a significant recruitment need.
The Security Department is responsible for security protection at the Fortifications Agency, and approximately 65 employees currently work in the Security Department. The security staff operates under the Chief of Security Protection with directed, supportive, and follow-up security protection work at the agency. The staff is cohesive for the department's planning and operational follow-up, process development, training, and coordination of matters. The staff also includes the function of signal protection. The group is responsible for support and advice in all areas of security protection to all of the agency's operations.
As a group leader, you are expected to lead, coordinate, and follow up on the group's support to the operations. You will be cohesive and regularly collaborate internally and externally with other authorities. As a group leader, you have operational, economic, and personnel responsibility, including workplace environment. You also have cross-departmental responsibilities. The group leader reports to the staff manager and is part of the staff's management team. The growth of the agency and an increased demand for qualified support means that the staff is growing significantly.
The employees in the group are an operational capability that conducts security protection planning, holds training, and works with qualified advice. As a group leader, you are expected to drive and develop the operations together with the employees, develop new methods, and be a support for your employees. Your employees are located at the office in Eskilstuna. Travel is required for the position and can be planned.

You have good knowledge of administrative IT support systems and you communicate and express yourself well both orally and in writing in Swedish. A Class B driver's license is required.
It is advantageous if you have post-secondary education in the security field or other relevant education for the position. If you have experience in operational security work, preferably within a defense-related or law enforcement agency, it is a plus.
Your personal qualities are very important to us. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability and your engagement. You are a calm leader who has structure and delivers results. Being able to create understanding and a holistic view of security issues across several different areas of operation is an important quality for being successful in this role. You can clearly and informally convey your message at both the management level and in the operational activities. You find it easy to build good relationships and act professionally in your daily life as you have good collaboration and communication skills. As a group leader at the Fortifications Agency, you create conditions for your employees to succeed in their assignments.
